GRANDVIEW HOUSE
Framing Landscape Through Architecture
Under Construction | Residential, New Construction
Situated along Pittsburgh's dramatic hillsides, Grandview explores the reciprocal relationship between architecture and the city's unique topography. The project is conceived as a sequence of spaces that frame changing views while responding to solar orientation, prevailing winds, and the steep terrain that defines the site.
Materiality is intentionally restrained, allowing natural light, wood, stone, and carefully crafted details to create spaces rooted in place rather than style. Grandview reflects our belief that architecture should reveal the character of a landscape instead of competing with it, creating environments that deepen occupants' awareness of the city, its rivers, and the ecological systems that support them.
